Comparatives

Use the comparative form to compare two things.
Regular adjectives
Add -er to short adjectives: younger, faster …
Use more/less with long adjectives: more beautiful, less expensive …
Irregular adjectives 
Some adjectives are irregular.

Yоu often use than after the comparative adjective: Му car is faster than your car.

  • Double the last consonant + -er for some one-syllable adjectives: hot → hotter, big → bigger
  • Change у to i: hарру → happier, angry → angrier
